What is CDT?

What is CDT?

The Certified Dental Technician (CDT) designation signifies exceptional proficiency in dental technology, demonstrating mastery across all seven specialty areas of the field. For doctors and patients, this certification ensures that the technician has achieved a high level of skill and knowledge, which translates into superior quality of care and precision in dental restorations. CDTs are committed to ongoing education and staying at the cutting edge of their profession, guaranteeing that their work reflects the latest advancements and best practices. By choosing a CDT, you are ensuring that your dental needs are handled by a highly qualified professional dedicated to excellence and continuous improvement.

At WORLD MILLING CENTER, we ensure that a Certified Dental Technician is always on site, bringing a high level of expertise to our team. We also provide incentives for our technicians to pursue and maintain their CDT certification, supporting their ongoing professional development to enhance their skills and deliver exceptional service to our clients.

What is RDT?

What is RDT?

In Japan, the Registered Dental Technician (RDT) license, known as 歯科技工士 (Shika Gikōshi), is a professional credential for individuals specializing in dental technology, issued by the Japanese Dental Technologists Association (JDTA). To become an RDT in Japan, candidates must complete a rigorous education program at a recognized dental technology school and pass a national licensing examination. The RDT designation is essential for those involved in creating and fitting dental prosthetics and appliances. This certification ensures that practitioners adhere to high standards of craftsmanship and knowledge in dental technology, contributing to effective and accurate dental care.

At WORLD MILLING CENTER, while not every team member is a Certified Dental Technician, those who are not hold the RDT license from their careers in Japan. While certification is not legally required in many countries, including the US, it is mandatory in Japan. Consequently, all our expatriate team members from our parent company in Japan are licensed technicians, offering us a unique advantage with a level of expertise and experience that is unmatched in many US labs.
